April 25, 2016 Soccer

got to play soccer today!! it was super chill and fun, we played against some of the members here that got a little team together hahah it was pretty fun! able to get a nice little run in there to lose some of the weight i got coming on the mission;)

other than that we are working hard with this family that been coming to church to get them baptized on jun. 5! they are excited! they are super young too!! the guys like 23, and shes like 21 or something.. but its nothing like BYU.. like thats pretty weird here..

but they are awesome! they are bringing their little brother to church too and he wants to be baptized too!! haha its super funny actually.. there was some girl that came up to the other missionaries i was talking with on sunday, and she just says "can you guys baptize me? ive been coming to church for a long time and i want to be baptized." so it just kinda reminded me how blessed i am to be serving here! its a great place with some amazing people!!

also we should be having like 5 people baptized this weekend for our area with a total of like 40 here in the zone!! should be a big one! we'll take some pics and youll see the harvest.!

but this week went great, everything is great! today i drank some water that im not sure was filtered.. we'll see how the rest of this day goes...

stay classy.

April 18, 2016 8 MONTHS OUT

16 months out 8 to go!!

wait.. no i still got 16..

well time has been going by quick and it gets faster every week! and the amount of email i get just gets even lower!! so safe to say i am loving it here.

but this week was really good we got a tooon of investigators to church! all you gotta do is like.. invite them to church.. funny how that works..

but we are definitely going to work and try and keep these fams progressing!

if you wanna know at all what the new area is like.. just look up this verse in mosiah 3;7
it'll tell you just how i feel as soon as i walk out the door everyday.

also i was reading a great talk by elder eyring called the priesthood man. if you havent read it. do it today! its amazing! it talks about 3 things any priesthood man needs!

1. a pattern of prayer
2. a habit of service
3. a rock-hard decision of honesty

it is one of my favorite talks!

well not too much happened this week, we had another great family night last night and i lost the game we played in the end and so i had to dance around while they sang and clapped.. so  if your lucky one day you might be blessed to see that video;)

also we met a guy named sabonete .. and in portuguese that translates to 'bar of soap'
better than wet wipes i guess..

have a great week! stay healthy! say your prayers!

April 11, 2016 First Week in Beira

Everything is going well in the north of Mozambique!

sat with a looot of new families this last week and trying to keep visiting them and get them to come to church! we had a few investigators come to church to watch conference and they really liked it!

everything is like 100x more humid and sweaty here, but it has been raining and its been pretty cool these past few days here. not too much news other than what ive already said.

but while i was at conference, i brought some crackers, and every time i grabbed another cracker there was this lady sitting infront of me that would turn around and look straight at my crackers. this happened for about 5 minutes. then another speaker came on and literally started his talk with, "i was an hungered, and ye fed me."
but long story short. she didnt get any crackers.

also during my studies this week in alma 62 verses 4, and 5.
it talks about how moroni was traveling to this city far away, and as he was traveling he would pass through other smaller cities. but wherever he went he had a high standard, and didnt tell people what he believed but he showed them, and because of his example, "thousands did flock unto his standard"  then in verses 9, 10 it just talks about how anyone who didnt follow he executed.. but what im sayin is that, we like moroni can have a standard and know who we are and what we want to be. if we can figure out those things for ourselves we will be able to stay firm in the things we believe in and keep the covenants we make regardless of the situations we may find ourselves in.
because wherever you go, whether you want to be or not, you are an example, for good or bad!

have a great week! bring a friend to church! (not a member)
