January 25, 2016 Great Week!

Another great week here in Matola, Mozambique!

everything is going super nice and we are teaching a lot of people!

but still seeing that people always have their choice whether or not to accept anything you say hahahhahahahahahahahahahaha it sucks.

but anyway, we will be having 3 baptisms this week!

this young kid Esdor,
man named Manuel,
and another Kid hoops

they are suuuuper sweet and strong! absolutely love em all and i think next by the end of the transfer we should have at least one of these 18 fams we visited this week baptised!! soooo pray for them:)

super great super successful week here and cant wait to start the next!

Been reading in alma and absolutely loving it! alma is a good guy.

so tonight read Alma 41: 10, 15.. and email elder fuchs, and you will be blessed.

funny story.

we were going through the interview questions with manuel just to make sure everthin is 100 and we asked about the word of wisedom.. and he was like "well the first of the 5 things is coffee, and then there is smoking, and then ummmm.. sex... "

this might be super immature of me, but i could not contain myself... i just let elder payne take over, because i was overcome with the spirit of immaturity.. so that was pretty much thee most funny thing of my life. it was great hahahahhaha but ive matured since yesterday so dont worry..

have a great week family and friends! i love you all and dont forget to Repent!

January 18, 2016 5 MONTHS!

5Months as of tomorrow!
time has Flown by here in africa and things this week were amazing!!
i dont know if i am making the biggest difference in the peoples lives here, but i know for a fact what im doing here has been making a difference in me!
(that was super cheesy)
but anyway, being here is a blessing. being able to even know these people and talk with them is amazing on its own, but help them receive the restored gospel.. thats pretty sick.
me and my comp are doing work! and i can definitely feel how hard we work when i get home at night! a super nice part of our area is we literally live inside of it.. hahah
but lots of cool things happened this week but i dont have too much time.. soooo yeah. but i just want to say that everything here is amazing.
i am trying to understand the Atonement more fully and trying to study it as much as i can.. that is a hard thing to understand for me and i really want to know more.
but i know that this church is true. and this work is amazing and it changes everyone, even those who share it!
you never know the difference you can make until you try it out!
challenge for you guys back home this week, is try it out. you dont have to be on a mission in africa to share the Gospel you know to be true..
(even though serving in africa is a lot cooler)  ;)

January 11, 2016 Transferred

So i am now transferred to Mozambique, Matola area!

i still dont know the area well or anything but i feel like this next transfer is gonna be great!

i also got a new companion and he actually lives super close to where i live in highland! he went to lone peak and graduated a year earlier than i did. and we have a lot of the same friends!! we also share the same name!!! ELDER!! super weird.. jk
but his name is elder Payne!

he has been here for a transfer already and so this week ill be learning the area... but its awesome and we have only met with some people but the people here are incredibly humble and willing to learn! many things are different from swaziland but im excited to get working here!!

dont have much time to email right now, but i will next week! so feel free to email me:)

have a great week everyone!!

January 4, 2016 2016

this week was super nice! Suuuuper hot. and we got some big news!

the zone here is going to split in swaziland!! so now we are going to have 2 zones!

so this week we have been working a lot with some less active members that i didn't even know existed! i've never seen them at church or anything. but we found them in our area book that was an absolute mess!! and we were able to visit a few of them!

one came back to church this week! his name is Africa and his wife is Cindy. they were baptized about a year and a half ago, and shortly after being baptized they stopped going to church.. but hey, he came, so thats progress!

other than that our other investigators didnt come to church:) so thats just great! hahaha
everything is going by pretty smooth here, we are doing our best, trying to find those people that are ready and willing! they are a lot harder to find than i thought!!  it makes me think if im doing something wrong, or if i could be doing something better:)

Next week is transfers! I think i am going to mozambique because the office elders called me and told me to try and not take out any of my money because it cant be changed! so... that was a big hint... hahah

but im happy the lord has allowed me to be able to serve him for the time that he has.
i know this work i am doing is much greater than i am.

i know that no matter what happens. if we do what we are supposed to. even if we havent always done the best things in our life. we can and will be happy.

i cant remember who, but someone important once said something like this " it doesnt matter where you've been or what you've done. all that matters is that you are trying to be better than you were before, trusting in the lord, and taking a step in the right direction. even when you can't see what lies ahead. "

being on a mission has been an amazing thing for my life, and i wouldnt trade it for any of the soccer trophies or teams or anything i could be doing with my life.

i know this is where God needs me and has asked me to be. :) and im also so grateful for my many friends who are such great examples to me.

Have a Great week:)!

Alma 33:11
Cry unto the lord in the hard times of your life. in him, lies your JOY

Alma 36:3
If life is hard right now read this scripture. (replace Helamans' name with yours)

December 28, 2015 Christmas!

Guess who got to talk with their family?
thats right.
every missionary around the world.
what a blessing. hahah it was great:)
sorry but this week i dont even remember what happened because of the skyping with my family!
but my last weeks email wouldnt send for some reason!
everything is good and we actually had a baptism last sunday... well kinda.
it was a family i was teaching in my last area that me and Elder Ence had found and taught, we knew they would get baptized but i got transferred so i didnt get to do the actual baptism. but THEY GOT BAPTIZED! thats what matters:) it was Comfort his wife Sithembile and his sister nothando:) their son will be baptized after the holidays!
super nice. well thats about it! im super jealous of everyone basking in the snow in utah, i saw there was a TON of it. so. im jealous!
but everything is okay here and nothing too new has happened!
i want to share some scriptures i came across this week that are super nice:)
Mosiah 26:29
talks about forgiveness and how we can let go
Alma 42:16
talks about how we still need
correction from sin and
cannot choose our punishment.
i know i havent made the best choices in my life. but i am grateful that i am able to let go of things that would otherwise drag me down.
going into this new year, no matter what happens i can say that i am where i want to be doing what i need to be doing! there is no greater thing for me to help me change and become better:) the atonement is real! and my new years goal is to use it even more this next year, and help other receive the blessings it can bring to them and their family:)
Have a Good week!

December 21, 2015 CHRISTmas

This week was dope.

there not tooo much that happened.

but a Family that Elder Ence and i were teaching got baptized and i got to go down and watch the baptism!!:)

it was freaking awesome!! #churchistrue.

i absolutely loved the christmas devotional although it made me trunky, or in other words to think about home for a bit.. i miss the snow man!!

but all is well. ill get over it in like 20 more months right??

we also had our christmas zone conference thing, and it was super fun and there was some reeeeaally good food so thats always nice:)
ill throw some pics of it up. also i was in the choir.. and they changed my name to Elder Bieber. had a solo and completely killed it. no worries fam.

everything is good and we are getting a family moving along in the process of getting married and Baptized as soon as possible! so we are hoping and praying to get them within the time of the transfer:) but if not, im sure the other missionaries will help them through it.

Other than that i REALLY miss soccer.. and everything about it. especially because the elders here are kinda boring and too lazy to go out and play soccer.. so i just have my own little practices in the morning with some bricks for cones and a basketball i found here.. so.. it great.

thanks for all the great emails this week friends and family:)

hope you all have an amazing Christmas, and a great rest of your week:)
also my camera is being dumb and im out of time... so no pics this week sorry..

December 14, 2015 Got noooo Power

This week was great! we had some SWEET SWEET rain come down as a blessing for us. it was super awesome and we had a good time walking alllllllllll the way to the church in it.. which is only a few miles away:)
ill attach a video of me being awesome and playing in the rain:)

as for our food and stuff.. well its all gone kinda bad now because the power in our house has been out for the past few days!

other houses around have power so im confused as to why we don't.. but the nights that we havent had power it was nice and cool outside so we weren't dying!

this week not too much happened, just a lot of trying to find new people to teach, because the people we are teaching now arent too interested, and maybe its just not their time! so me and my companion elder avila have been knocking tonnns of doors and talking with many people! problem is, is that everyone is gone to their villages for the holidays!

But i know we'll find people to teach! just gotta work harder!
elder avila and i get along really well and we are good friends! sometimes he just gets down on himself because of the language barrier and that makes him a bit depressed. but all we gotta do it work! so i hope he starts to feel better fast, cuz i dont want a baby for a companion  hahaha , but other than that.. its allllll good.

if you guys need help with desires to serve, or you wanna do more.

D&C 11:10-25 is absolute $$$

love you my friends and family!
thanks for the wonderful emails and pictures you send:)
